Plain Paratha


  1. Refine flour (Maida)                                       - 1 ¼ cup
  2. Oil                                                                           - as required
  3. Salt                                                                         - to taste
  4. Sugar                                                                     - 1 tsp
  5. Water                                                                   - to mix


  1. Sieve flour, add salt, sugar 2 tsp oil and water make a dough kneed well.  Cover and keep aside for at least half and hour.
  2. Again kneed well.  Make a balls (Even sized)
  3. Press the balls and make a round shaped, sheet roll out paratha
  4. Heat tawa and fry partha both side add oil / Ghee till Golden brown remove from fire.  Beat lightly between the palms of the hand and separate the flakes.
  5. Repeat the process (for all balls).
