Sooji Uppuma

Ingredients

  1. Sooji / Rava                                                        -  2 cups
  2. Onion                                                                    - 1 (Chopped)
  3. Green chillies                                                     - 5 (Slited)
  4. Salt                                                                         - to taste
  5. Water                                                                   - 4 cups
  6. Mustard seeds black gram                           - ½ tsp
  7. Curry leaves                                                       - 1 spring
  8. Oil                                                                           - 1 spoon full
  9. Bengal gram                                                       - 1 tsp

Method

  1. Heat oil in kadai, add mustard seeds, Bengal gram, black gram dhal, onion, green chillies (Slited).
  2. Add sooji and fry till golden brown.
  3. Add 4 cup of hot water salt and curry leaves, close the pan and allow cooking it at least 5 minutes.
  4. Remove from fire.
  5. Serve hot with coconut chutney / sugar.
