Channa Masala

 Ingredients

  1. Channa (white)                                                 - 50 gm
  2. Onion                                                                    - 75 gm
  3. Tomato                                                                                - 75 gm
  4. Ginger                                                                  - 1 small piece
  5. Cumin                                                                   -  1 tsp
  6. Chillies powder                                                 - 2 tsp
  7. Coriander powder                                           - a pinch
  8. Turmeric powder                                             - a pinch
  9. Channa masala powder                                 - 3 tsp
  10. Salt                                                                         - to taste
  11. Oil                                                                           - 100ml
  12. Coriander leaves                                              - 1 spring
  13. Curry leaves                                                       - a pinch
  14. Garam masala powder                                  - 1 tsp

Method

  1. Soka the channa at least 8 hours and cook (Boil).
  2. Grind onion, tomato, cumin seeds and coriander leaves together.
  3. Heat the oil in kadai, add onion and ground masala.
  4. Add the salt, chilli, coriander. Turmeric powder with boiled channa, and mix well.
  5. Then add garam masala and channa masala powder mix well.
  6. Garnish with curry leaves and coriander leaves remove from heat and serve hot.
